Hot dog buns with sesame
150 ml semi skimmed milk
1 tbsp oil
4 tsp sugar
2 tsp dry yeast
225 g flour
1/2 tsp salt
Topping:
1 egg
1 tbsp milk
2 tbsp sesame seeds
Dissolve the yeast and sugar in the lukewarm milk and let it sit for a few minutes until it starts to froth.
Mix the milk mixture with oil, flour, and salt in a bowl.
Knead the dough until smooth, then let it rise for 1 hour.
Divide the dough into 6 equal parts and shape into buns. Let them rise again.
Whisk the egg with the milk and brush the buns. Sprinkle sesame seeds on top.
Bake at 200°C for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown.
