Lasagna soup

Lasagna Soup with ground beef, perfect for a comforting meal that’s easy to make and full of flavor!

300 g ground beef

A little oil for frying

1/2 onion, finely chopped

3 garlic cloves, grated

1 carton of passata (500 ml)

1.5 liters water

2 beef stock cubes

1 chicken stock cube

1 tsp dried basil

1 tsp dried oregano

1/2 tsp dried parsley

1/2 tsp pizza seasoning

3 bay leaves

Black pepper to taste

100 g dried lasagna sheets, broken into pieces

For Serving:

Grated mozzarella cheese

Fresh basil, thinly sliced

Heat a little oil in a large pot over medium heat. Add the ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it up with a spatula as it cooks.

Add the finely chopped onion and grated garlic to the pot. Cook for 3-5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the onion becomes translucent.

Pour in the passata, water, and crumble in the beef and chicken stock cubes. Stir well to combine.

Add the dried basil, oregano, parsley, pizza seasoning, bay leaves, and black pepper. Stir and bring the soup to a simmer. Let it cook on low heat for about 20 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld together.

Break the lasagna sheets into smaller pieces and add them to the soup. Let the soup simmer for an additional 20 minutes, or until the pasta is cooked and tender.

After cooking, remove the bay leaves from the soup.

Ladle the soup into bowls and top each serving with grated mozzarella and fresh basil strips for garnish.
