Mashed Potatoes
500 g large potatoes
2 tbsp butter
50–100 ml milk
salt and pepper to taste
1–2 spring onions or chives
First, peel the potatoes and cut them into similarly sized pieces.
Place the potato pieces in a pot with cold water and boil them until they are completely soft.
Drain the water from the potatoes and return them to the pot. Add the butter and half of the milk to the hot potatoes and mash them together. Add more milk as needed until the texture is smooth and creamy. Season with salt and black pepper. Sprinkle thinly sliced spring onion or chives over the mashed potatoes before serving.
