Meatballs in gravy
250 g ground pork
250 g ground beef
2 dl milk
1 tsp salt
2 tsp onion powder
1 egg
5 tbsp potato starch
1/4 tsp pepper
1/2 tsp baking powder
Place the ground pork, ground beef, salt, onion powder, and potato starch in the bowl of a stand mixer. Use the "K" paddle attachment to mix the dough.
Whisk the egg and add it to the mixer bowl along with the baking powder and pepper. Mix well, and gradually add the milk, little by little, until the mixture becomes a smooth dough.
Sauce:
4 dl water
A few drops of sauce browning
2-3 tbsp cornstarch mixed with cold water
1 beef stock cube
Black pepper to taste
Heat oil in a frying pan and fry the meatballs until browned on all sides.
Once browned, add the water to the pan and crumble the stock cube into the liquid.
Bring to a boil and let it simmer over low heat for a few minutes.
Thicken the sauce with cornstarch mixed with cold water. Stir it into the sauce until it reaches your desired consistency.
Serve the meatballs with boiled potatoes.
