Cola chicken wings

Cola chicken wings

This recipe is a bit unusual but definitely worth trying. The wings are cooked in an air fryer while the sauce is prepared in a pot.

1 pack chicken wings

a pinch of salt and pepper

Sauce:

120 ml Coca-Cola, not sugar-free!

4 tbsp brown sugar

1 tbsp tomato paste

1 clove garlic, chopped

a pinch of chili flakes

1 tsp paprika

1–2 spring onions for topping

Split the chicken wings into three parts and discard the wing tip. Season the wings with salt and pepper.

Preheat the air fryer to 200°C and cook the wings for 10 minutes. Turn them and cook for another 10 minutes.

Put the sauce ingredients into a pot and bring to a boil. Let the sauce simmer over low heat for a few minutes until it thickens.

Place the cooked wings in a clean bowl, add the sauce, and mix well to coat. Slice the spring onions thinly and sprinkle over the wings before serving.
